Machine Gun Kelly recently offered a glimpse into his family life, as fans eagerly seek details about his relationship with Megan Fox and their baby daughter.
Back in March, Colson Baker, known as Machine Gun Kelly, shared that his former partner and fiancé Megan Fox had given birth.
Since that announcement, fans have been keen to learn more about the couple’s daughter.
On June 17, Kelly delighted his followers by posting a video of himself playing music for the newborn, accompanied by the caption: “Saga Blade Fox-Baker thank you for the ultimate gift Megan Fox.”
However, MGK has remained relatively tight-lipped about their co-parenting arrangements or the significance behind their daughter’s name.
Recently, during an appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show, Kelly shed some light on these topics.
When questioned about his daughter’s name, he explained: “My ancestors, and my family is Norwegian, and there’s a Norwegian goddess named Saga, and it means ‘epic story’.”
He continued, “And so we named her Saga because to get her on this earth through highs and lows, it truly was an epic story of love, pain, and a lot of magic.”
Kelly also expressed admiration for Fox’s role in co-parenting, calling her ‘the person who is the greatest partner’ and ‘the greatest person to have had a child with’ due to her being ‘such a phenomenal mom.’
He further commented: “We go back and forth on who she looks like. Like last month she looked exactly like me and now she looks exactly like her. It changes, you know?”
Fans were thrilled to learn more about the daughter’s name, and some astute followers noted that Fox and Kelly had hinted at what their child’s name might be as early as 2021—at least in part.
During a GQ interview, Fox and Kelly discussed middle names, with Baker revealing he didn’t actually have one.
The couple humorously brainstormed potential middle names for him, with Fox suggesting, “Can I guess what your middle name would be? Blade? Sword, Katana, Chaos, Hectic, Violence, Rebel.”
Kelly interrupted Fox after she mentioned Blade, declaring that it would be his choice for a middle name.
Fans online found it endearing that the singer bestowed upon his daughter a middle name he would have chosen for himself.
