Man Commended for His Reaction When Terminally Ill Friend Requested He Take Her Virginity

Many people have vivid memories of losing their virginity, and for some, these memories might not be as cherished as they hoped.

Personally, I won’t elaborate on my own experience because it wasn’t particularly memorable for either of us, so it’s best left unsaid.

However, for others, it can be quite meaningful, as was the case for a terminally ill woman who requested her close friend to take her virginity as her last wish.

A 31-year-old man, who chose to remain anonymous, shared on Reddit that he had been friends with the woman for six years. She had battled cancer in the past, but it unfortunately returned with severity.

“She told us she doesn’t want to go through chemo again so she planned to enjoy the time she had left,” the Reddit user wrote.

He recounted that his friend was introverted, with a small circle of friends, and one evening, while they were having a drink, she revealed to him that she was still a virgin.

She expressed her desire not to lose her virginity to ‘any stranger’, but rather to someone she ‘trusts’ before her time ran out.

“That person was me,” he revealed.

“She didn’t pressure me to do anything against my will, she simply asked and was ready to forget it if I declined.”

The man agreed, and they arranged for the moment to be ‘extra special’ by booking a lovely hotel room with candlelight ambiance.

He noted that it was the first time he had been intimate with someone he loved, though not romantically, describing it as a ‘very intense experience’.

“There was still lots of emotions,” he explained.

After she passed away, the man was left with feelings of doubt, questioning if he had taken advantage of her or if he was wrong for agreeing, despite the fact that ‘she seemed so happy she got to lose her virginity to someone she trusts’.

Readers responded with comforting messages, describing his story as ‘beautiful’.

“You did so right by her. I’m sorry for your loss, she seemed like an amazing woman,” one person commented.

Another added: “You did 100% what was right. You made her dying wish come true, not because you were in love but because you loved her.”

The Redditor later updated his post to express gratitude for the ‘beautiful words and support’ he received from the community.
