A Florida man has been found guilty of luring his pregnant girlfriend to a secluded location and fatally shooting her upon discovering her pregnancy.
Donovan Faison, a 23-year-old, allegedly enticed his 18-year-old partner to a remote park on November 11, 2022, after learning she was expecting.
Upon her arrival, Faison reportedly attempted to persuade Kaylin Fiengo to have an abortion.
In his first-degree murder trial, it was revealed that Faison shot Kaylin in the head while she was in her car at Coastline Park in Sanford, leaving her to die.
A police officer, during a routine patrol, encountered the tragic scene. The car was running in the parking lot with someone in the driver’s seat, according to an arrest affidavit.

The officer noticed blood on the ground near the driver’s side with the window down.
He found Kaylin unresponsive in the vehicle, and despite emergency services’ efforts, she was pronounced dead at the location.
Tragically, an ultrasound image of the unborn child was discovered mere feet from her body.
Ten months after the teenager’s violent death, Faison was arrested and charged with her murder and that of her unborn child.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, which uncovered incriminating text messages between the two.
Upon Kaylin’s announcement of her pregnancy with a photo of positive tests, Faison reportedly accused her of deceit, responding: “Abortion!!!”
Prosecutors claimed during the trial that Faison appeared ‘angry’ and perhaps ‘pressured’ by the situation since he was ‘living with another woman who suspected him of cheating,’ according to PEOPLE.

The court heard that Faison was romantically involved with Kaylin, who allegedly notified his partner of their affair and her pregnancy the day of her ultrasound, the Miami Herald reports.
Another incriminating text was presented to the jury, where Faison allegedly informed a friend of his situation just before meeting Kaylin at the park.
He reportedly shared that Kaylin was unwilling to have an abortion, stating: “On my brothers grave, I’m gonna crop her out.”
Authorities connected Faison to the crime scene through a friend who revealed Kaylin had mentioned meeting her ‘second baby daddy’ at the park.

This friend arrived at the park while police were investigating, having used ‘find my iPhone’ to locate her absent friend.
The jury found Faison guilty on October 27. While the sentence has yet to be decided, he faces the possibility of the death penalty.
“We’ve been waiting a long time for this,” Kaylin’s aunt, Tatiana Fiengo, told News 6 Click Orlando.
“It doesn’t bring her back, but at least he’s not out hurting other people.”
