Man Facing Execution in a Few Hours Denied Last Meal Due to ‘Greedy’ Inmate’s Large Order

An individual facing execution today will not receive their last meal due to the consequences of a previous inmate’s actions.

Steven Nelson is scheduled for execution for his involvement in the 2011 murder of pastor Clint Dobson, who was 28 at the time.

The death penalty was imposed on Nelson for the fatal incident during a botched robbery at a church, with the execution set for today (February 5).

Nelson has consistently maintained his innocence regarding the deaths of Dobson and 69-year-old church secretary Judy Elliot, who was brutally attacked at the church.

He confessed to being present at North Pointe Baptist Church in Arlington, serving as a lookout while two others perpetrated the crimes.

The 37-year-old has sought permission to undergo a lie detector test to demonstrate he did not commit the murders.
