Man ordered Domino’s pizza daily for over ten years until staff saved his life

Imagine if you had the chance to enjoy your favorite dish every day for the rest of your life. Would you take it?

Whether it’s a creamy carbonara, a plate of tacos, or a classic grilled cheese with fries, sometimes a beloved meal just satisfies like nothing else.

For a food enthusiast named Kirk Alexander, his unwavering choice was Domino’s Pizza.

For ten years, he consistently ordered a pizza from his local outlet in Salem, Oregon.

Given his regular orders, employees at the branch likely anticipated seeing Alexander’s name on their order screen daily.

In 2016, however, concern arose among the staff when they noted that they hadn’t received an order from Alexander for 11 days.

You might think he was on holiday or simply tired of pizza.

Sarah Fuller, the manager at the time, recounted: “A few of my drivers had mentioned that we hadn’t seen his order come across our screen in a while, so I went and looked up to see how long it had been since he last ordered and it was 11 days, which is not like him at all.”

The Domino’s team sent a driver to check on Alexander at his home.

Upon arrival, the driver noticed lights on and the TV playing inside the house.

Despite knocking, no one answered, leading the employees to alert the police for further investigation.

Marion County Sheriff’s officers arrived, heard a man inside calling for help, and broke the door down.

They found Kirk needing urgent medical care, and he was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, where he was stabilized.

Having played a role in saving his life, the Domino’s staff visited him in the hospital with cards and flowers, though no pizza.

While Kirk was thankful, the employees felt it was simply part of their duty.

“[He is] just an important customer that’s part of our family here at Dominos,” Fuller said.

“He orders all the time so we know him. I think we were just doing our job checking in on someone we know who orders a lot.

“We felt like we needed to do something.”

The Domino’s team was later rewarded for their actions with an appearance on Good Morning America, where they received tickets to watch 2016’s Captain America: Civil War in theaters.
