There’s one sex position that seems to be particularly favored by men, but it’s not quite as popular with women.
When discussing sex positions, there’s a vast array to choose from, and everyone’s favorite is entirely personal.
Whether you prefer the wheelbarrow, stand and deliver, or the butter churner, or if you lean more towards missionary, there’s a lot to discover.
However, one position stands out as especially popular among men.
The problem is that this particular position is also one of the least favored by women, or anyone assuming the receiving role.
Additionally, it’s known for being one of the riskiest positions when it comes to a certain type of sexual injury.
So, which position are we talking about?

The position is reverse cowgirl, where the person on top faces away from their partner below.
It’s easy to see why men might enjoy this position—they get an appealing view of their partner’s backside in motion.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for their partner, who ends up staring at feet, doing most of the work, and often not benefiting much from it.
On the plus side, at least you won’t miss the ‘Netflix’ part of ‘Netflix and Chill’.
Numerous women have shared their opinions on Reddit about why reverse cowgirl isn’t their preferred choice.
“I hate this one,” a user wrote. “It’s so uncomfortable… plus staring at feet, plus feeling awkward about my a**hole pointed at him.”
Another added: “It’s like getting poked in the wrong direction. Super uncomfortable and the view isn’t great.”

Another person expressed a similar sentiment, stating: “The angle doesn’t do anything for me and staring at my partner’s legs and feet isn’t my favourite view.”
It’s worth noting that turning your back on your partner isn’t the most intimate gesture, and some individuals find it somewhat objectifying.
Cate Campbell, a sex therapist and co-host of The Real Sex Education podcast, told Metro: “Having their back to their partner is a major issue for some who may say they feel a bit used, particularly when they don’t experience much pleasure from the position.”
And what about the risk of injury?
Reverse cowgirl is notably the position most likely to result in a penile fracture, which occurs when an erect penis is broken.
The likelihood of missing the mark is higher when the person on top can’t see where they are landing, and such a miss can lead to painful consequences, as even the firmest erection is vulnerable to injury.
