Marjorie Taylor Greene has erupted at Donald Trump after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested in the UK.
Authorities detained the disgraced former prince on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. He has since been released while inquiries continue.
Images of a visibly worn Andrew leaving Aylsham Police Station quickly circulated, and the development has been framed as the first arrest of an English royal since Charles I in 1647, triggering widespread reaction internationally.
The fallout has also reached the US, where Marjorie Taylor Greene — once a vocal Trump backer — has turned her attention back to the former president, claiming he has failed to act on new details linked to the Epstein files.
Greene, who previously stepped back after criticizing Trump over the files, delivered her latest attack in a message posted to her social media.

In a post on X, Greene heavily criticized Trump’s recent policies, writing: “The UK has arrested Andrew because of the Epstein files and over here the President signed an EO protecting cancer causing Glyphosate in our foods and we have zero Epstein related arrest and investigations since release of the files.”
She added: “We are on the verge of going to war against Iran. That’s the current state of MAGA.”
Other lawmakers have also used Andrew’s arrest to criticize what they say is a lack of momentum in the US.
Rep. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts, who sits on the House Oversight Committee currently looking into the Epstein files, questioned the pace of the American response during an appearance on CNN.
Lynch criticized the progress of the investigation in the US, telling CNN: “It offers a great contrast. Look what the British government is doing in light of the evidence, and look what the US government is doing. Nothing.”

He even hit out at Pam Bondi, accusing her of ‘obstructing’ progress, adding: “Our chief law enforcement officer Pam Bondi is defending and obstructing the investigation.”
Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury of New Mexico echoed the comparison between the two countries’ actions, arguing that similar standards should apply in the US.
Meanwhile, Democrat Rep. Melanie Stansbury from New Mexico also drew the comparison, saying: “If a Prince can be held accountable, so can a President.”
Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of his titles — including the title of prince — by King Charles in October 2025.
After the arrest, Charles issued a statement indicating that the ‘appropriate authorities’ would receive his ‘full and wholehearted support and co-operation’ as the process moves forward.
The King added: “Let me state clearly: the law must take its course.”
Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office, an allegation that can carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Police have since confirmed that he has been released pending further investigation.
