Megan Fox has addressed an especially odd conspiracy theory that’s been circulating about her online.
Conspiracy theories come in all shapes and sizes, and the internet never seems to run out of bizarre new ideas.
Some are long-running staples, like claims that the Moon landings were staged — a debate that even ended with astronaut Buzz Aldrin getting into a physical altercation.
Then there’s the flat Earth belief that the planet isn’t a globe at all, but flat — sometimes paired with outlandish extras like it being carried through space on the back of a giant turtle (or maybe that detail belongs in a Terry Pratchett novel).
Not every theory tries to explain the universe, though. One that has strangely taken hold in certain corners of the internet is focused on actor Megan Fox.
The claim: Fox isn’t “real,” but has been replaced by a clone.

The idea appears to have started with a meme after Fox began making more frequent red carpet appearances in 2020 with then-partner Machine Gun Kelly, alongside chatter linking her changing look to potential cosmetic procedures.
It also ties into a wider internet narrative that public figures are secretly being swapped out with clones — typically framed as part of some sinister scheme by an unseen group pulling the strings.
None of it is backed up by evidence.
Still, Fox has now weighed in, firing back at people repeating the rumor.
Her response followed the posting of a set of provocative photos to her Instagram, captioned ‘everything is more beautiful because we are doomed’.
In the comments, some users joked that the images were proof of a replacement, with one writing: “This isn’t Megan. This is a Clone.”
Another added: “Whoever typed in the coding for this clone. Tweaked the cheeks.”

Fox replied directly to the speculation, writing: “B***h a clone could never.”
The photos themselves showed her posing in a black t-shirt with black tights pulled up to her thighs, along with a black thong and heels.
And the comment section wasn’t limited to fans. Her ex, Machine Gun Kelly, also chimed in to compliment the post.
He wrote: “Stoked I have your phone number.”
The two have been apart since November 2024, separating shortly after they announced they were expecting a baby together.
