Just days after making her Broadway debut, Megan Thee Stallion was rushed to hospital after experiencing extreme exhaustion.
On Tuesday (March 31), the 31-year-old rapper reportedly began feeling “very ill” during a performance and was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out.
Her representatives later said the “concerning” symptoms were linked to extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels.
“Megan has since been treated, discharged and is now resting,” her rep told The Guardian on April 1, adding: “Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Thursday.”
Now, the ‘Savage’ artist has spoken publicly about what happened, sharing a candid health update on social media.

Posting a photo of herself on stage, she wrote on Instagram yesterday: “Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’t.”
She went on to tell fans: “Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting yall down. I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been.”
Megan also said she expected to be back to full strength and ready to “give 100%” when she returned to the stage today (April 2).
“Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything,” the Grammy Award winner concluded.

Support quickly poured in, with dozens of high-profile friends and fellow artists replying in the comments with messages of encouragement.
“We love you,” wrote SZA, as John Legend replied with a string of prayer-hand emojis.
Empire actress Taraji P. Henson added: “Baby girl take care of yourself!!!! I was so worried about you. So glad you are better.”
“We love you Meg. Take care of yourself first,” added The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore.
Back in February, it was revealed that the ‘Sweetest Pie’ rapper would be joining the Broadway production in New York City. She began her limited run on March 24 and is scheduled to appear in the show through May 17.
Moulin Rouge! The Musical is set to close on July 26, wrapping up a seven-year run on Broadway. After that, the production and cast are expected to head out on a world tour, with planned dates across the UK and Europe.
