Towards the end of 2025, Megyn Kelly took the opportunity to look back on her career and didn’t shy away from discussing the celebrities she has had disputes with over the years.
The seasoned journalist, now 55, was prompted to identify the ‘meanest’ or most ‘unpleasant’ celebrities she’s come across, and she didn’t hesitate to mention four individuals.
Jane Fonda was the first name she brought up in an interview with the Daily Mail, recalling their contentious 2017 interaction. During that interview, the now 88-year-old Oscar winner was noticeably irritated when asked about her history with plastic surgery.
Kelly defended her decision by pointing out that the question was intentional, as producers had instructed her to steer clear of discussing sex scenes from the film *Our Souls at Night*, as Fonda’s co-star, Robert Redford, was apparently uncomfortable addressing that topic.
The former Fox News journalist also recounted a less than favorable encounter with Bruce Willis, although she admitted it might come off as insensitive given the actor’s current health challenges.
In 2022, Willis was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) after previously revealing his battle with aphasia, a condition that impairs speech and language.
Reflecting on a 2006 interview, Kelly described the *Die Hard* actor as ‘ungiving’ and ‘ungenerous’, noting his visible displeasure during the segment.

“Why agree to come on if you don’t want to be there?” she commented further.
Kelly also mentioned *Today* show host Al Roker, but chose not to delve into the details of their conflict.
Instead, she provided a humorous analogy, suggesting that if her mother ever met Roker, it would resemble ‘Larry David bumping into Alan Dershowitz at Martha’s Vineyard’.
Rounding off her list was Ellen DeGeneres. Kelly shared an account from a ‘close family member’ who worked on *The Ellen DeGeneres Show*.
She claimed that staff were allegedly instructed not to make eye contact with DeGeneres.
“They were told to look down at the floor, like a serf,” she asserted, noting she wasn’t shocked when allegations of workplace bullying against DeGeneres came to light in 2020.
“She is a bad person,” Kelly concluded.
While Kelly has not hesitated to speak out about the behavior of others, she has faced scrutiny herself recently. In November, remarks she made regarding Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, faced online criticism.
During an episode of *The Megyn Kelly Show*, she discussed Epstein’s case.
“I know somebody very close to this case to the point where they know virtually everything. Jeffrey Epstein, in this person’s view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15-year-old girls,” she stated.
The age of consent varies by state in the U.S., ranging from 16 to 18.
Kelly explained: “I realize this is disgusting and I’m not trying to make an excuse for this; I’m giving you facts. He wasn’t into eight-year-olds, he liked very young teen types that would look legal to the passerby. There’s a difference between a 15-year-old and a five-year-old.”
As anticipated, her comments did not sit well with the online community, with many on Reddit expressing shock.
“Oh man, are these the talking points? Because this is disgusting,” one user commented, while another expressed that the conservative should feel ‘ashamed’ by her remarks.
Efforts have been made to reach out to Kelly’s representatives for comment, as well as to Fonda, Willis, and Roker’s representatives.
