For the first time, the First Lady has publicly addressed the tragic incident involving the shooting of 37-year-old nurse Alex Pretti by Customs and Border Patrol agents in Minneapolis. She has urged the public to remain calm.
Melania Trump has encouraged those protesting to do so peacefully, highlighting her husband, President Trump’s, constructive discussion with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. President Trump described the interaction as ‘a very good call’ prior to recalling CBP chief Greg Bovino from the state.
During an appearance on Fox & Friends, the First Lady stated: “We need to unify. I’m calling for unity I know my husband the president had a great call yesterday with the governor and the mayor and they’re working together to make it peaceful and without riots.
“I’m against violence, so if you protest, protest in peace.”
