Mia Khalifa begs women not to go into porn as videos ‘will haunt her for life’

Mia Khalifa has a serious message for anyone considering ditching their day job for the adult film industry: Don’t.

Once a prominent figure in adult entertainment, Mia Khalifa has become a candid critic of the industry since her departure. She has openly discussed the issues she faced and her deep regrets about her brief porn career.

She expressed how the films she made continue to affect her, stating they will “haunt me until I die.”

Now 31, Khalifa shared that she only participated in 11 films at the age of 21, yet the memories persistently trouble her. Her experience has fueled her mission to prevent others from facing similar fates.

In 2020, Khalifa posted a poignant Instagram video where she looked visibly upset, captioning it: “That hourly dissociative attack from remembering hundreds of millions of people’s only impression of you is solely based on the lowest, most toxic, most uncharacteristic three months of your life when you were 21.”

She elaborated on her post, emphasizing her regret and cautioning others about entering the porn industry. Her advice is straightforward: “Those 11 videos will haunt me until I die, and I don’t want another girl to go through that – because no one should.”

She added, “Long story short: don’t do porn. And if you do, do it for yourself, on your own terms.”

Khalifa also advised on the consumption of porn, urging people to support ethical porn that does not exploit women: “Like your groceries, shop local and direct from the creators.”

Despite the backlash from some past comments on marriage, Khalifa continues to offer advice on sexual and relationship matters through social media and podcasts.

Last year, she faced criticism after discussing marriage candidly. Khalifa, who has been married twice—first to her high school sweetheart and then to chef Robert Sandberg—shared her views in a video: “We are not stuck with these people. Marriage is not a sanctimonious thing. It is paperwork.”

“It is a commitment you make to someone, but if you feel like you’re not getting anything from that commitment and you’re trying, you got to go. You have to go,” she stated firmly.

When faced with criticism, Khalifa defended her stance, questioning why she was being criticized for advising young women to leave unhealthy and toxic relationships.
