Michelle Obama shares her thoughts on not having a son with Barack

Michelle Obama has shared why she feels relieved that she and her husband, Barack Obama, did not have a son.

Since the Obamas exited the White House in 2017, more insights into their personal lives have been revealed. Michelle, in particular, has been quite open, appearing on numerous podcasts where she discusses her family, her experiences in the White House, and life with a former President.

Their daughters, Malia, 26, and Sasha, 24, have each embarked on their own professional paths since moving away from Washington, D.C., approximately eight years ago.

Recently, Michelle expressed her satisfaction with how her family has evolved, mentioning that having a son might have resulted in some similarities with his father, Barack.

During her appearance on the IMO podcast, which she co-hosts with her brother Craig Robinson, Michelle responded to a comment made by Hot 97 radio personality Angie Martinez, who suggested the Obamas “should have thrown a boy in the mix.”

Michelle, 61, quickly replied: “I’m so glad I didn’t have a boy, because he would have been a Barack Obama.”

“Baby Barack! It would have been amazing,” Martinez joked in response, to which Michelle replied: “No, I woulda felt for him.”

Robinson added: “She just borrowed our boys,” referring to his sons Austin and Aaron.

There have been ongoing rumors about a possible divorce, but Michelle recently addressed those rumors directly.

The former lawyer dispelled the speculation on Instagram by posting a nostalgic photo of the couple and their daughters on Sunday (June 15) to celebrate Father’s Day.

In her post, Michelle praised her husband for always being supportive of their family, particularly highlighting Father’s Day.

She wrote: “I love looking back at photos like this of when our girls were younger.

“@BarackObama has always been there for us no matter what — even when it felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. We’ve always been so grateful.

“To Barack and all the dads and father-figures celebrating today, Happy Father’s Day!”

Michelle has also dismissed divorce rumors on various podcasts, mentioning last month on The Diary of a CEO that ‘everyone would know’ if they were going through marital issues.

“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” she told Steven Bartlett, adding: “I would be problem solving in public. I’m not a martyr.”

Even though Michelle and Barack left the White House years ago, public interest in their lives continues to thrive.
