Michigan Couple Charged for Pointing a Gun at Black Mother, Two Daughters

The Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office has arrested and charged a white couple from Clarkston, Michigan, for pointing a gun at a black mother and her two daughters in Orion Township.

Jillian Wuestenberg, 32, and her husband Eric have been charged with felonious assault. Jillian, who is pregnant, pointed a gun at a black woman and her two daughters after they threatened her and her husband with bodily harm.

The Wuestenberg couple got into an altercation with the family at a Chipotle in Orion Township on Wednesday.

The Wustenbergs, who are concealed pistol license holders, called the police on the black family, saying they feared for their lives after threatening comments were directed at them. On the other hand, the mother and daughters told deputies that the Wuestenbergs threatened them with firearms.

Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper charged the couple with one count of felonious assault each. This is a four-year felony.

The Wuestenbergs was also given a $50,000 personal bond. They also surrendered their firearms and have been barred from leaving the state.

On Friday, Oakland University issued a statement saying they have already fired Eric Wuestenberg because of his unacceptable behavior.
