Mickey Rourke Faces Hefty Financial Loss Post Big Brother Exit Due to ‘Continued Inappropriate Language’

It remains uncertain whether Mickey Rourke will receive his full payment after his sudden departure from Celebrity Big Brother.

Yesterday (April 12), it was revealed that Rourke was asked to leave the Big Brother house following a dispute with fellow housemate Chris Hughes.

The ITV show addressed the issue with a spokesperson stating: “Mickey Rourke has agreed to leave the Celebrity Big Brother House this evening following a discussion with Big Brother regarding further use of inappropriate language and instances of unacceptable behaviour.”

Reports indicate that Rourke’s behavior towards Hughes was deemed ‘threatening and aggressive,’ although there was no physical altercation between them.

The celebrities participating in the show are paid a fee, with Rourke reportedly set to earn £500,000 (over $654,000) for his appearance; however, this is now uncertain due to his departure.

According to a source speaking to The Sun, Rourke will not receive the entirety of the money he was initially promised.

“Mickey won’t be receiving all his money from ITV,” the source claimed.

“If a celebrity gets removed from the house, they don’t get the full fee. It’s as simple as that and they will be discussing that with him.”

The source further mentioned that Rourke was prepared to leave and it was ultimately a mutual decision between him and ITV. “It was getting too much,” they added.

Past celebrities who have been asked to leave the Celebrity Big Brother house reportedly did not receive full payment either, as mentioned by the tabloid paper. This list includes soap star Roxanne Pallett and singer Jeremy Jackson.

ITV chose not to comment when approached by UNILAD.

While Rourke was in the CBB house, his former co-star Bella Thorne made several claims about their experience working together.

She commented on Rourke: “This f**king dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man – In a scene where I’m on my knees with my hands zip-tied around my back.”

“He’s supposed to take a metal grinder to my kneecap, and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again.”

Thorne stated that her pelvic bone was ‘bruised’ from the incident and described working with the Sin City actor as one of the ‘all-time worst experiences’ of her career.

A representative for Rourke has since responded, asserting that they are aware of Thorne’s claims and that the actor ‘adamantly denies any intentional misconduct.’
