Mickey Rourke is reportedly facing eviction from his residence due to accumulated rent debt.
A friend and part of Rourke’s management team has launched a GoFundMe campaign on behalf of the Angel Heart star, who is “facing a very real and urgent situation.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rourke owes close to $60,000 to his landlord in unpaid rent and has been warned of eviction if the sum is not settled.
To address this, a fundraiser has been organized with Rourke’s “full permission.”
The biography written by Liya-Joelle Jones states: “Mickey is facing a very real and urgent situation: the threat of eviction from his home. This fundraiser is being created with Mickey’s full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses and prevent that from happening.”
The note continues, “Mickey Rourke is an icon—but his trajectory, as painful as it is, is also a deeply human one.”

“It is the story of someone who gave everything to his work, took real risks, and paid real costs. Fame does not protect against hardship, and talent does not guarantee stability.”
Jones emphasized that the actor “deserves dignity, housing, and the chance to regain his footing,” adding: “The goal is simple: to give Mickey stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time—so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet.”
The GoFundMe campaign aims to raise $100,000 and has gathered over $57,000 in just 24 hours at the time of writing. This amount has been contributed by 1,500 donors, with the largest donation being $2,500.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones elaborated: “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help.”
It’s reported that the actor-turned-boxer received an eviction notice on December 18.

He initially signed a lease agreement in March 2025 for $5,200 per month, but the rent was later increased to $7,000.
Rourke’s alleged financial difficulties follow his departure from Celebrity Big Brother last year due to unacceptable behavior.
During his time on the show, he made homophobic comments towards JoJo Siwa and later had a confrontation with Love Island star Chris Hughes.
Though no physical altercation occurred, Rourke’s behavior was labeled as ‘threatening and aggressive,’ for which he later apologized.
Siwa and Hughes have since entered a relationship, evolving from a friendship formed in the CBB house into something more romantic.
The 22-year-old entered the show in a relationship with Kath Ebbs, but reportedly ended things at the CBB party.
