Enola Holmes 3 actor Millie Bobby Brown has reflected on her time filming Stranger Things, including one very specific food memory from set.
During an appearance on Hot Ones with Sean Evans, Brown spoke about British food and revealed that one of her favourite comfort meals left her Stranger Things castmates more confused than impressed.
Now back as detective Enola Holmes and Sherlock’s younger sister in Netflix’s Enola Holmes 3, which landed on July 1, 2026, Brown stars opposite Louis Partridge once again. While looking back at the series that launched her career, she described a cultural divide on set with her largely American co-stars and said her lunch choices often drew attention.
“When I was on Stranger Things, I used to get food shamed a lot,” she said.
“When I would go on, they’d be all American and they’d be like, ‘Mate, what the f**k are you eating?!’
“Because they were like, ‘It’s like you live in the 1800s and you found some like, specialty.”

The meal in question was a jacket potato with beans and cheese, which Brown said she would bring in wrapped in foil.
“It’s wrapped in tin foil and I would like, hide in a corner because they’d be like, ‘What is that?’ and I was just like, ‘It’s a jacket potato with beans and cheese. It’s nothing,’” she said.
“So they didn’t get it, but when I go on set in England, everybody’s like, ‘Having a jacket, lovely.’”
It sounds unlikely Brown ran into the same problem while making Enola Holmes 3. Although the film was shot in Malta, where much of the story is set, the production featured plenty of British cast and crew members who may have been far more familiar with her preferred lunch.
The third film sees Enola chasing adventure abroad as personal and professional dreams collide in Malta, while she also prepares to marry Tewkesbury, played by Partridge. The new mystery is written by Jack Thorne and directed by Philip Barantini, who previously collaborated on Adolescence, and also brings back Henry Cavill as Sherlock, Himesh Patel as Dr Watson, Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes and Sharon Duncan-Brewster as Moriarty.

Already uncertain about stepping into life as a Lady and leaving her own name behind, Enola is pulled into another mystery as she searches for Sherlock and faces the return of an old foe.
The cast also includes Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, alongside Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hattie Morahan, David Sterne and Jason Watkins.
Enola Holmes 3 is available to stream on Netflix.
