Before Millie Bobby Brown found love with her now-husband Jake Bongiovi, she had a playful agreement to marry one of her Stranger Things co-stars.
Well, sort of.
The British actress, now 20, made her debut as Eleven in the popular Netflix series eight years ago.
During their time on the Duffer Brothers’ show, Brown and the cast have likely formed lasting friendships, given that they grew up together on set.
In her personal life, Brown has also been fortunate, having married Jake Bongiovi, the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi, in May.
The couple celebrated their union in an intimate ceremony attended by family in the United States.
Brown, who also starred in Netflix’s fantasy film Damsel, first revealed her relationship with Bongiovi, 22, three years ago.
The two initially connected on Instagram and began hanging out as friends.
What started as a friendship soon turned into a romance, and in November 2021, they made their relationship Instagram official when Brown posted a blurry photo of herself kissing Bongiovi while on the London Eye.
Speculation about their engagement arose last year when Brown shared a picture of herself wearing a diamond ring while hugging Bongiovi.
She captioned the photo with: “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, I want ’em all,” a line from Taylor Swift’s song ‘Lover.’
Before her relationship with Bongiovi, Brown had made a pact with Stranger Things co-star Noah Schnapp to marry each other if they were still single at 40.
In a 2022 interview with MTV News, she and Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, shared: “We said if we’re not married by 40, we’ll get married together because we’d be good roomies.”
Brown quickly clarified: “Completely platonically, we would still be really good roomies.”
She then laid down some ground rules for their hypothetical future together.
“No kids, though, because I could not deal with a child of yours… Yeah, no kids at all. Only dogs…,” she said.
Brown added: “And separate bedrooms, for sure – my God, you’re so messy.”
Currently, Schnapp is reportedly single, making his platonic future with Brown unlikely.

This isn’t necessarily a negative outcome; now, Schnapp has ample time to meet someone who would actually want to share a bed with him.
Moreover, it appears he will always have a friend in his Stranger Things co-star.
Brown has previously expressed her deep bond with Schnapp: “We have built such a friendship together, I feel like. And you’re also one of the longest friends I’ve ever had. I don’t know if you know that, but I didn’t grow up in school so I didn’t have any friends from my childhood, so you really are one of those people for me.”
She continued: “As a young girl in the industry, it’s really challenging when you’re constantly surrounded by male energy. Something that Noah has always done so well is make me feel so comfortable, so empowered, and he is an amazing co-star to work with.”
“He’s always been my biggest supporter cheering me on and for that, especially in this day and age, I think it’s really nice to have boys like that. Boys who support girls,” she added.
