An ‘interesting’ TikTok video has broken down exactly what happens if someone gives oral sex to someone with a penis and swallows the semen.
If your feeds weren’t already chaotic enough — between bizarre trends and out-of-nowhere explainers — TikTok has now delivered a set of videos focused on what’s happening inside the body after certain sexual activities.
Viewers have warned it’s the kind of clip that sticks with you once you’ve seen it, with at least one person advising people not to watch it while they’re trying to eat.
The video — posted on TikTok by Dr. Boogie — aims to demonstrate what happens when semen “enters,” specifically when it’s swallowed after oral sex.
In the clip, a skinless anatomical model is shown drinking a liquid that resembles milk, intended to represent semen.

It then visualises the liquid moving down the throat, dotted with small shapes to represent sperm cells.
Healthline notes sperm accounts for “about one-to-five-percent of semen” and that it’s the “seminal plasma fluid, which is mostly water” that “makes up the rest”.
“When semen is swallowed, it travels down the oesophagus just like any other swallowed fluid, reaching the stomach quickly,” the video narrates.
Once in the stomach, strong acids and enzymes such as pepsin are shown breaking down proteins and rendering sperm cells inactive — meaning those old myths about pregnancy from oral sex can be dismissed.
So, how long does semen remain in the body after swallowing?
According to the explanation, because there’s “minimal fiber or bulk,” it “moves relatively quickly though the stomach leading to rapid but uneventful gastric emptying”.
From there, the digested contents pass into the small intestine, where additional enzymes continue the breakdown process while the body “absorbing any small amount of nutrients”.
That “small” point is key: the amount of nutritional value involved is negligible.
The video suggests the limited nutrients present “may be absorbed into the bloodstream,” but stresses the “volume is tiny” and offers “no significant nutritional benefit or change,” with Healthline adding “you would likely have to consume gallons of semen to see any dietary health benefit”.
In other words, it’s not replacing your supplements anytime soon.

The semen also doesn’t “sit” in the stomach for long. The breakdown happens quickly, and soon it’s processed and expelled, “broken down and eliminated as waste”.
Healthline adds that “for the most part” semen is “safe” to suggest, though in “very rare circumstances” some many discover they’re allergic.
It can also increase the risk of passing on an STI, so it’s important to talk openly with partners about sexual health and only do what you’re comfortable with.
