Mariana Varela and Fabiola Valentin, two beauty queens who revealed their secret wedding, deserve congratulations!
Varela and Valentin, named Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico in 2020, revealed on Instagram over the weekend that they said “I do” on Oct. 28 and chose to tell the world about it after keeping their love a secret for so long. The beautiful post is a montage video created to the song “Lugar Seguro” by Jay Wheeler and Noreh.
The newlyweds display a lot of PDA and their romantic side, from carving out a heart and their initials on the beach to rose petals writing out “I love you” in Spanish. Varela, 26, and Valentin, 22, also give viewers a brief glimpse into the romantic proposal, with gigantic balloons spelling out “Will You Marry Me?” The apartment where the proposal appears to have occurred is also inundated with red and white balloons and candles. Before announcing that they have identical diamond rings, the pair swaps engagement rings.
The pair was last seen outside a courtroom in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where they appear to have finalized their marriage. “After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day. 28/10/22 ❤️?✨.”
Valentin subsequently posted a video to her Instagram Story, holding a coffee mug that reads in Spanish, “The best wife in the world,” and said, “Good morning. This is how Mariana wakes me up. How wonderful it is to read every comment. To everyone, thank you for the nice words and well wishes.”
The pair met at the Miss Grand International beauty competition in 2020. They became friends and stayed so after the contest. Varela represented Argentina in Miss Universe in 2019 and came in 10th place at Miss Grand International in 2020. Valentin finished in the top ten that year as well.
