Taylor Frankie Paul had her felony assault conviction from three years ago knocked down to a misdemeanor after prosecutors and the judge agreed she followed all stipulated conditions for the case to be reclassified

Utah-based influencer and reality star Taylor Frankie Paul’s three-year probation concluded during a court hearing on Friday,
with the charge reduced to a class A misdemeanor on August 7, after Paul completed the terms of a three-year plea-in-abeyance deal
.
Paul, 32, shared the news via Instagram on Friday, writing “Three years probation complete” and reflecting on the long legal process since her arrest.
She continued in the post, “All my PO’s said it was one of the longest probations they had seen for first time offense,” She added that when the incident occurred in 2023, “I wasn’t even aware of what DV was. Unfortunately many will experience it as many already have.”
“DV is a sneaky cycle to get stuck in because by the time you realize what actually is happening you’re already stuck in it,” Paul wrote in her Instagram announcement.
In the same post, she addressed the public’s perception of her role in the case. “I don’t care if you see me as the villain or victim. This all surfacing the way it viciously and vindictively did, has been hell on earth and if I didn’t have the support I have I don’t think I would have made it through,” she wrote.
Paul added a resolute note about moving forward. “However those same people not only get to see they failed to destroy me, but they freed me. You can see who’s educated from the not… this has been by the textbook for millions to watch,” she wrote.
The completion of probation marks a major turning point in Paul’s legal saga, though her case has been overshadowed by other domestic violence allegations since 2023.
The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office said it has declined to charge Paul because of a lack of evidence
, though investigations into other incidents involving her and ex Dakota Mortensen continue.
