Discover The Intricate Beauty Of Iranian Mosque Ceilings

Photographer and Instagrammer @m1rasoulifard captures the incredibly intricate ceilings of some of Iran’s oldest mosques to show off their hypnotizing mosaic patterns.

The photographer’s Instagram account is a shrine to Iranian design and architecture, and you can see why.

Many of Iran’s mosques may look plain on the outside, but the ceilings are decorated with the most amazing mosaics.

And @m1rasoulifard angles his shots to look more like kaleidoscope patterns than buildings.

But he doesn’t neglect the domes, arches and other architectural wonders of the buildings.

This is Jameh’s mosque in Esfahan — it’s 900 years old.

It’s so intricate it almost makes our brain hurt.

Blimey and also crikey.
