Euphoria is finally back, and the five-year time jump has shocked viewers by revealing what happened to the show’s formerly chaotic teens.
One of the most debated developments has been Cassie’s arc. Sydney Sweeney’s character is now living a suburban life alongside on-again toxic love interest Nate (Jacob Elordi) — and she’s making money on OnlyFans.
In the newest episode, fans also see just how far Cassie is willing to go to keep subscribers satisfied.
In one moment, she poses topless while holding an ice cream as it melts and runs down her chest.
The scene has stunned plenty of viewers, and while it may look like shocking TV for shock value, it closely mirrors a fetish that surged in popularity in the 1980s: sploshing.

Sploshing refers to taking sexual pleasure from having wet, messy substances — often food or drink — poured, spread, or squished on the body.
For some people, it goes well beyond a bit of whipped cream. It can involve being smeared with multiple edible items, dunking into jelly, or getting coated in sticky things like syrup and cake.
In other words, it’s a “need-a-serious-shower-after” kind of kink — which is also reflected in the alternative label WAM (wet and messy).
Although it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, the fetish has clearly found a sizable online audience, with sploshing-related content racking up as many as 11 million views on TikTok.
On the platform, clips show creators dumping foods over themselves or getting messy with everything from spaghetti to cake to coffee.
Speaking to Metro, sex psychotherapist Gigi Engle said that for many people the core appeal is the sensation of being “wet,” with food acting as a common variation.
“Sploshing is a sexual kink or fetish that involves sitting in or spreading around jelly-like or viscous substances,” she explained.
One specific spin on the fetish that comes up frequently is “cake sitting.” Engle said it’s especially common, with typical materials including jelly, shaving cream, cakes, icing and batter — though preferences can differ widely.

“Cake sitting is very popular on OnlyFans, there are a lot of women who sit in cakes as a part of their content creation,” Engle explained.
“It’s where an attractive woman or fem makes the cake and then does a close-up video of them fully sitting on it and squishing it. It’s very messy, and there’s destruction which can feed into the erotica of it.”
Engle added that other popular options include dripping chocolate over the body, as well as sitting in jelly.
As for why sploshing can be so arousing, she suggested the sounds can be just as important as the visuals — with the wet, squelching noise acting as a major part of the appeal.
“There’s a tactile element to it where you could like the feel of it on your fingers or body,” she added. “The messiness and wetness can also be a big draw – it’s a very sensory experience.”
