Mother of Woman Fatally Shot by ICE in Minneapolis Shares Emotional Statement

The mother of Renee Nicole Good has spoken out following her daughter’s unexpected death at the age of 37.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have been active in Minneapolis as part of a broader initiative from the White House.

However, events took a tragic turn on January 7 when ICE officers carried out ‘targeted operations’ leading to the death of Renee Nicole Good.

The Department of Homeland Security asserts that Good, who was a US citizen, ‘weaponized her vehicle’ in an attempt to run over an ICE officer, prompting the officer to shoot her.

The involved officer ‘fired defensive shots,’ which resulted in Good’s fatal injuries.

Good was the mother of a six-year-old child, who is now believed to be an orphan following the death of his father in 2023, according to Metro Online.

Her death has incited protests throughout Minneapolis, with citizens calling for ICE to be removed from the city.

Good’s mother, Donna Ganger, has now shared her thoughts following her daughter’s sudden demise.

She expressed to the Minnesota Star Tribune: “Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.

“She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being.”

Ganger mentioned that Good was likely ‘terrified’ leading up to her death and criticized the circumstances that led to her 37-year-old daughter’s shooting.

Regarding the protests on that day, Ganger stated that Good was ‘not part of anything like that at all,’ despite President Donald Trump labeling Good as ‘a professional agitator.’

On Truth Social, the President commented: “I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is a horrible thing to watch.

“The woman screaming was, obviously, a professional agitator, and the woman driving the car was very disorderly, obstructing and resisting, who then violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE Officer, who seems to have shot her in self defense.”

Contradicting this account, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey stated that the assertion that Good attempted to run over an ICE officer was ‘bullsh*t.’

“Having seen the video myself, I want to tell everybody directly, that is bullsh*t,” Frey told The Hill, adding: “This was an agent recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying, getting killed.”
