MrBeast Shares Findings of Inquiry After Allegations Against Ava Kris Tyson for Grooming a Minor

MrBeast recently revealed the findings of an internal review he initiated after accusations of grooming a minor were made against former employee Ava Kris Tyson.

Earlier this year, Tyson faced allegations of sending inappropriate messages to a 13-year-old while she was 20. Tyson refuted these claims and mentioned that it was “mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health.”

In response to these allegations, MrBeast, known in real life as Jimmy Donaldson, declared that he would cease collaboration with Tyson. He also engaged the law firm Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan to conduct an internal review into misconduct allegations within his company, MrBeast LLC.

After a three-month period, Donaldson shared on Twitter that the investigation had been completed, disclosing the findings provided by Alex Spiro from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan.

“A three-month investigation into allegations regarding my company has concluded. The lawfirm/investigators reviewed millions of documents/messages and conducted 39 interviews,” MrBeast stated on Twitter. “I was asked to refrain from making public statements to enable a detailed and unbiased investigation. Below are their conclusions.”

The investigation included 39 interviews with current and former employees and examined 4.5 million documents from communications like messages and emails.

According to Spiro, the investigation concluded that “allegations of sexual misconduct (e.g., pedophilia, grooming, child pornography, etc.) between Company employees and minors are without basis.”

“The allegations were soundly rejected, including by alleged victims,” he added.

Spiro also mentioned that claims regarding the company knowingly hiring individuals with questionable histories were unfounded. This seemed to address a previous claim that MrBeast had knowingly employed registered sex offenders.

Nonetheless, Spiro acknowledged the investigation did uncover “several isolated instances of workplace harassment and misconduct.”

Spiro noted, “The Company was informed of such conduct and took swift and appropriate actions to address the incidents, including, where necessary, disciplining or letting go of implicated individuals.”

The letter from Spiro concluded with suggestions for fostering a safe and professional corporate environment, such as hiring new leadership, mandating corporate training sessions, setting up an anonymous reporting system for employees, and “swiftly terminating individuals” who breach company policies.
