Musician Ayres Sasaki Passes Away on Stage Due to Electrocution in Tragic Mishap

In a turn of events straight out of a movie, a Brazilian singer’s life was tragically cut short in a bizarre accident eerily reminiscent of a “Final Destination” scene.

Ayres Sasaki was in the middle of a performance in Salinopolis, Brazil, on July 13 when the unthinkable happened.

A fan, drenched from head to toe, went up to Sasaki for a hug during his performance. Tragically, this gesture of affection turned deadly as Sasaki was electrocuted on stage due to the wet clothing of the fan.

The fate of the fan involved remains uncertain, as does their condition following the accident.

The circumstances behind why the fan was soaked are still under investigation by the police, who are looking into the details of the 35-year-old singer’s tragic death, as reported by The Sun US.

The incident unfolded at The Solar Hotel, which was hosting the music event. The hotel has since released a statement addressing the tragic occurrence.

“We are fully dedicated to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures,” the hotel stated. “We reaffirm our commitment to fully cooperating with the competent authorities for the proper clarification of the events.”

Tragically, Sasaki’s death comes only months after he celebrated his marriage.

The singer had just married his wife Mariana in what appeared to be a stunning ceremony in October 2023.

Sharing a glimpse of their wedding day on Instagram on October 17, Sasaki poignantly wrote: “Eternity awaits us my love.”

Since the news broke, many have expressed their disbelief and sorrow over the freak accident, comparing it to the horrific and unusual deaths found in the movie “Final Destination.”

“My goodness, this is some Final Destination type of bad luck,” someone penned on Facebook. “RIP to a young talented individual gone too soon.”

“So sad. My deepest condolences to the family,” said a second. Another remarked, “This is a crazy sad naturally.”

Fellow singer Adriano Freitas remembered Sasaki as a ‘charismatic’ person, both on and off stage.

“We were friends in daily life, beyond music,” he shared with local media. “[He was] a super charismatic guy, his talent was incredible. He was the best singer and guitarist in Belem. A great friend, very family-oriented, attentive to his friendships, and to those who appreciated his work.”

Comedian and friend Natto Almeida remarked on Sasaki’s kindness and politeness, calling him “a good-hearted person” whose legacy will be the positive impact he had on others.

“What will definitely stand out about Sasaki is his good heart, very polite. I think this will be the lasting mark he leaves behind.”

Sasaki leaves behind his wife and family. At the time of his passing, he did not have any children.
