Fans of My Chemical Romance are buzzing with excitement as they share a ‘secret’ method to grab Black Parade merchandise at the upcoming concert at Rogers Centre on Friday, August 22.
The band’s North American tour is in full swing, and next up is Toronto, where they will be joined by Pixies as the supporting act.
As the concert date approaches, fans are exchanging their best strategies for getting their hands on exclusive merchandise so they can walk away with a special keepsake from the event.
One Reddit user shared: “My advice is if they have early merch, go. I did that for New Jersey. Merch opened early at 12:40pm. I got there at 11:45pm(ish). The line wasn’t that long at all. I got my stuff and went back to my hotel for a few hours. I got to enjoy going to the show without having to worry about merch.”
Another fan echoed this sentiment, saying: “I would say that if you want the early merch, get there as early as possible. Some people said they were there since 8 in the morning because they never announced what time early merch was opening. But if you can’t get there super early (or don’t want to wait around), then just try to get inside as fast as possible once the doors to the venue actually open! In Philadelphia, there were at least five different merch stations inside of the venue.”
A third fan shared, “I arrived at Philly 45 minutes before the gate opened, went straight up to the nosebleeds and got through the merch line pretty quickly. [The queue] looked pretty long after that.”
If arriving early isn’t an option, one fan suggested that stepping out ‘during the small intermission before B stage starts’ might result in a shorter queue.
