‘My Name Is Earl’ star Jaime Pressly reveals reason behind her surprise OnlyFans debut

My Name is Earl actor Jaime Pressly has become the latest well-known name to launch an OnlyFans account — but she says money isn’t the main motivation.

OnlyFans, a subscription platform where creators share paid-for posts with subscribers, first launched in 2016.

While it had been around for years, the site surged into the mainstream during the COVID-era boom in at-home content, and it’s since attracted more public figures.

Now, a decade after the platform’s debut, Pressly has joined the growing list of celebrities with accounts.

Her page went live yesterday, May 7, and the 48-year-old spoke openly about why she decided to make the move.

“I’ve always believed in evolving with the times,” she told Variety about joining the adult site.

“This is another way for me to connect directly with my audience, on my own terms, with creativity and intention,” she said.

She added that she’s always enjoyed meeting supporters in person, including at conventions like Comic Con.

“The excitement of having those real face to face moments made me want to seek options like OnlyFans,” she continued.

Pressly’s account is currently free to follow, though The Tab reports that certain exclusive posts are locked behind paid access.

Alongside premium content, she’s also sharing behind-the-scenes updates from her day-to-day life and offering exclusive chats.

Pressly’s launch comes shortly after her longtime friend Shannon Elizabeth — best known for American Pie — also joined the platform.

The pair appeared to reconnect recently, posting a sweet selfie together on Instagram weeks before Pressly’s page went live.

“So great seeing you after all these years, @jaimepressly. Always nice crossing paths again and sharing a moment like this.

“Such a beautiful human, inside and out. Hope we get to do it again soon,” she continued.

Elizabeth’s move appears to have paid off quickly, with reports claiming she brought in more than $1.2 million within her first week.

After sharing the news, she said she planned to put the income toward securing a home, explaining she’d been ‘living with friends’ following her split from South African conservation specialist Simon Borchert.

Elizabeth isn’t the only celebrity finding financial success on the site. Other public figures with accounts include Amanda Bynes, Denise Richards, and Amber Rose.

And while the platform still carries a reputation for adult material, it’s also used for a range of direct-to-fan content, including lifestyle-style posts and personal updates.
