I’m not sure we’re prepared for this… but Netflix has introduced another heart-wrenching series.
If you appreciate grand cinematography and storytelling that tugs at your heartstrings; if you’re going through a breakup and have ‘Waterfalls’ by TLC on loop; or if you simply enjoy crying your heart out, then viewers suggest you should check out this new show.
The 10-part Spanish series has elicited a powerful response from Netflix fans, leaving many ‘in tears’ after binge-watching all the episodes. Take a look:
The show, titled The Accident, centers on several families in a tight-knit community whose lives are forever altered during a children’s birthday party.
While the adults enjoy drinks and conversation and the kids play on a bouncy castle, disaster strikes unexpectedly.
Suddenly, the weather changes dramatically, and a strong wind lifts the inflatable with three children inside.
The tragic accident results in their deaths.
Enraged by the catastrophe, the families start to turn on each other, seeking answers and wanting to identify who is responsible for the deaths.
Consumed by grief, they experience guilt and resentment towards each other, escalating into violence as tensions spiral out of control.
Fans are fully engaged with the series.
One Twitter user shared: “‘The Accident’ on Netflix is so damn good! It’s dubbed but I don’t mind it 10/10!! They were all a damn mess fr.”
Another user on social media noted: “The accident on Netflix is the saddest s*** I’ve ever seen and this is why I don’t watch new shows the way my anxiety is set up absolutely not.”

As a parent, I never thought I’d worry about my child being swept away in a bouncy castle, but now I do.
