The series is titled The Perfect Couple and it has just debuted on Netflix today.

Although it hasn’t made it to the top of the Netflix charts at the time of writing, it’s expected to climb quickly as fans are already engrossed in the show.

In The Perfect Couple, Nicole Kidman plays Greer Garrison Winbury, who is married to Liev Shrieber’s character, Tag Winbury.

The plot thickens when a murder occurs, making the wealthy family potential suspects.

Described as a blend of Knives Out and Big Little Lies, the show has been well-received by fans.

With an IMDb rating of 6.7 and a 58% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it has garnered some positive reviews.

Lucy Mangan from The Guardian gave it four stars, stating, “It’s almost impossible to resist bingeing the entirety of this classy detective drama set around a posh wedding in Nantucket. It’s a glorious, perfectly paced delight.

The Perfect Couple has a proper plot – and some to spare.

“The carousel of suspects turns and reveals drop at perfectly spaced intervals; if there is anyone who can resist bingeing all six episodes once they have started, I will eat a fruit basket.”

It appears Mangan won’t need to uphold that commitment, as fans are already diving into the series.

In the Facebook group Netflix Bangers, one fan asked for opinions, with a viewer responding: “It’s soooo good! A binge watch show for sure. Loved it!”

Another viewer commented: “Binged watched the whole show in one arvo…. Bit tacky but good viewing”.

A tweet highlighted the show’s charming opening, a dance number featuring the entire cast.

The user wrote, “I love how #theperfectcouple isn’t too serious or complicated.. The storyline is straightforward and that opening dance number is just the cutest!! 10/10 recommend!”

Another viewer drew comparisons to Big Little Lies, saying, “The Perfect Couple on Netflix is another entry in the distressed Nicole Kidman genre with an all new wig, an all new loser husband and annoying kids and an all new dead body.

“They made this for me and you know what, I enjoyed every minute of it. It’s soapy and while it isn’t groundbreaking, it’s VERY entertaining.”

The Perfect Couple is now available to stream on Netflix.
