Netflix viewers rave about ‘insanely addictive’ new drama, clamoring for a season 2

Are you in search of a new show to watch on Netflix this weekend? Many subscribers are currently raving about a drama that they describe as ‘insanely addictive.’

With so much content available on the streaming platform, choosing what to watch for a relaxing evening can be quite the challenge.

While classics like Stranger Things and Black Mirror are always options, there’s something special about diving into a brand-new series and experiencing it for the first time.

The latest buzz surrounds a medical drama focusing on the staff at Miami’s Level 1 trauma center, Maguire Medical Center.

Featuring Willa Fitzgerald, Colin Woodell, Justina Machado, Chelsea Muirhead, and Jack Bannon, Pulse provides an insider’s look at the happenings within a busy trauma center.

The series in question is Pulse, now available on Netflix.

Zoe Robyn, the creator, shared with Tudum: “But if you were in the hospital — this is the one you would want to be in. You want to be in the care of these people.”

“We wanted to create a relatable structure. In today’s world, people’s main community often revolves around their job. Our research, which included extensive conversations with various doctors, revealed that medicine is the same, if not more intense. For those in the medical field, their work is all-consuming.”

Although the first season has just been released, some fans are already eager for a continuation after finishing the initial episodes.

“#pulse finished and I demand a second season immediately @netflix – Danny/Xander are ruining my life,” one Twitter user expressed.

Another viewer called the drama ‘insanely addictive,’ though not everyone shares this enthusiasm for Pulse.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the show holds an average score of 50 percent, with critiques varying across the board.

Michelle Martin from the London Evening Standard commented: “Ultimately, Pulse is a show that you’ll start and finish in one weekend, but have forgotten by the next.”

Sarabeth Pollock from What to Watch stated: “Pulse deftly balances the organized chaos of a Level 1 trauma center with the complicated personal and professional lives of the people who work there, culminating in a satisfying and heart-pounding experience.”
