New research reveals dramatic change in Trump’s 2017 vs 2025 presence following response to ‘fatigue’ concerns

An analysis of Donald Trump’s recent schedule has highlighted a notable change in how often the public has seen him during his current term compared to his previous one.

Trump’s current term has been marked by numerous controversies, with several surprising events occurring over the past year.

A recent article by the New York Times has stirred a significant reaction from both Trump and the White House. The piece suggested that Trump might be experiencing the effects of aging and fatigue.

The article pointed out a stark contrast between Trump’s schedule in 2017 and that in 2025, using this as purported evidence of his declining energy levels.

In response, Trump swiftly took to social media to criticize the publisher, dismissing claims about his health and fitness.

Trump called the New York Times a ‘cheap “RAG”’ and criticized the co-writer of the article, Katie Rogers, describing her as ‘a third rate reporter who is ugly, both inside and out’.

The article cited instances like Trump allegedly dozing off soon after sitting at his desk in the Oval Office, while Dr. Oz, former TV host and head of Medicare services, discussed reducing the cost of weight loss medications.

The New York Times noted that ‘Americans see Mr. Trump less than they used to’.

According to their analysis, Trump ‘has fewer public events on his schedule and is traveling domestically much less than he did by this point during his first year in office, in 2017, although he is taking more foreign trips’.

The article also suggested that Trump ‘keeps a shorter public schedule than he used to’, typically timing his public appearances between noon and 5pm.

The authors observed that occasionally, his ‘battery shows signs of wear’.

They compared Trump’s 2017 schedule, which began at 10:31 am on average, to his 2025 schedule, noting he had 39 percent fewer official appearances in his current term.

In 2017, Trump held 1,688 official events between January 20 and November 25. During the same period this year, the Times claims he held 1,029 official events.

Despite the scrutiny over his energy levels, Trump asserted on Truth Social that he remains vigorous and dedicated.

He wrote: “To do this requires a lot of Work and Energy, and I have never worked so hard in my life. Yet despite all of this the Radical Left Lunatics in the soon to fold New York Times did a hit piece on me that I am perhaps losing my Energy, despite facts that show the exact opposite. They know this is wrong, as is almost every thing that they write about me, including election results, ALL PURPOSELY NEGATIVE.”

The White House has been contacted for further comment.
