The trailer, which debuted on Saturday (June 8), is packed with thrilling action sequences and the typical witty exchanges expected from such a high-octane superhero movie.

Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool, took to his Instagram to share his enthusiasm, captioning the trailer post: “I hope everyone gets to work with their best friend at least once in their lifetime. I know I can’t wait to finally do it. #BestFriendsDay #DeadpoolAndWolverine”

The trailer’s unique choice of soundtrack, a remixed version of Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” now reimagined as “Red and Yellow,” didn’t miss catching the audience’s attention. One viewer remarked, “Ain’t no way you took the Black and Yellow song and changed it to Red and Yellow. You damn genius.”

An excited fan shared, “Haven’t been in a movie theatre since the pandemic but I think I’ll have to take my husband to this!!”

Another added, “Two omega [level mutants] mess with the time and universe… This is called perfection,” highlighting the excitement for the dynamic duo’s shenanigans.

A particularly enthusiastic response was, “This film is going to be incredible, I can’t wait until I can watch it! good job Ryan!”

While the plot remains tightly under wraps, the hints and Easter eggs in the trailer have given rise to a multitude of theories and speculations among the fans.

Amidst the swirling rumors, one burning question is the potential return of Josh Brolin’s Cable, first introduced in Deadpool 2. Fans were eager to know if he would make an appearance in this latest installment.

When The Playlist inquired about his listing on IMDb, Brolin excitedly confirmed, “Am I? Yeeeesssss! I so wanted to be in that movie.”

Discussing the complexities of Marvel’s cinematic universe, he compared it to his experience on the Amazon Prime sci-fi series Outer Range, describing it as “a more complex labyrinth than Outer Range will ever be, my friend.”

Brolin expressed his enjoyment of the role, stating, “Cable was a lot of fun. I really liked doing that role. That was a lot of fun.”

He also shared his admiration for his co-stars, particularly Hugh Jackman, saying, “Hugh [Jackman], I’m absolutely in love with. I know Ryan [Reynolds] now, and I’ve met Hugh a couple of times, and I think when he did Logan—forget it! I mean, Scott Frank, who wrote it, is a good friend of mine and I just think the coming together of [these characters] is just fantastic.”

Reflecting on Jackman’s age-defying appearance, he remarked, “Hugh, I don’t know how old Hugh is now—is he 56, 57? I mean, seriously, the dude doesn’t age. So, yeah. I’m a big fan of his.”
