Nick Cannon Feels ‘Guilt’ Juggling Quality Time With 11 Kids: ‘I’m Just Spread Thin’

Nick Cannon is feeling the struggle! The 42-year-old father of 11 (with one on the way) recently admitted that managing his many kids can be a challenge.

The famous TV host and rapper opened up to Dr. David Agus on an episode of Paramount+’s “The Checkup,” saying “It’s a lot to keep up with and balance.”

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” Cannon explained. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”

Nick Cannon is a proud papa of eight! The entertainer is a dad to 9-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, 4-year-old Golden, 2-year-old Powerful Queen, and 1-year-olds Rise Messiah, Zillion, and Zion.

He also has a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, born in September 2021, and a son, Legendary, born in June 2022. He and model Alyssa Scott tragically lost a son, Zen, to brain cancer at five months old, and Scott is currently expecting another baby with Cannon. Talk about a full house!

“It’s almost the holidays, and thanks to me, the world now has 8 billion people, but my job’s not done,” he joked recently. “And based off the baby mama to kid ratio, we got a whole hell of a lot of gifts to buy.”

“All these damn gifts, y’all just don’t wanna go to college,” Cannon continued. “It’s gonna be a merry m**-fing Christmas!”

This comes on the heels of the “Wild ‘n Out” star saying that he spends millions of dollars supporting his children every year.

“I definitely spend a lot more than [$3 million] on my children annually,” he told The Neighborhood Talk, referencing a report from The Sun. “I don’t plan to ever have to participate in the governmental system of child.”

Nick Cannon is proving that unconventional parenting styles can be a success! The America’s Got Talent host welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey in 2011, and has since been putting his own unique spin on raising his children.

The proud papa recently told Men’s Health, “Contrary to popular belief, I’m probably engaged throughout my children’s day, more often than the average adult can be.” And it looks like Cannon’s approach is working! He often does school pick-up and if he can’t make it, he connects with his kids through FaceTime video calls. It’s clear that Cannon is an amazing dad!

“I’ve seen where people believe a traditional household works, and [yet] there’s a lot of toxicity in that setting,” Cannon continued. “It’s not about what society deems is right. It’s like, what makes it right for you? What brings your happiness? What allows you to have joy and how you define family? We all define family in so many different ways.”
