Nick Carter Unfazed as He Performs With Backstreet Boys Despite Damning Lawsuit

The Backstreet Boys rocked Madison Square Garden as part of the iHeart Radio Jingle Ball concert Friday night — with Nick Carter appearing unfazed despite the slew of damming allegations detailed in a lawsuit against him earlier this week.

The guys donned an all-white ensemble and performed some of their greatest hits, with the crowd going wild!

ABC has canceled its Backstreet Boys holiday special, A Very Backstreet Holiday, due to a lawsuit filed against the band’s former member, Nick Carter.

Shannon Ruth has accused Carter of raping her when she was 17 after attending one of his concerts in Tacoma, Washington in 2002. Ruth’s lawyer claims Carter invited her to his tour bus and forced her to perform oral sex in the bus’ bathroom before sexually assaulting her again in the bedroom.

Carter has denied the allegations and the lawsuit was filed in Las Vegas, where the singer currently resides. The network will air comedy repeats instead of the planned holiday special.

Michael Holtz, the singer’s attorney, said, “this claim about an incident that supposedly took place more than 20 years ago is not only legally meritless but also entirely untrue.” The attorney continued, “Unfortunately, for several years now, Ms. [Shannon] Ruth has been manipulated into making false allegations about Nick — and those allegations have changed repeatedly and materially over time. No one should be fooled by a press stunt orchestrated by an opportunistic lawyer — there is nothing to this claim whatsoever, which we have no doubt the courts will quickly realize.”
