Nicki Minaj speaks out after getting Trump’s “most meaningful” gift

Nicki Minaj has another item checked off her Christmas list this year after receiving yet another gift linked to Donald Trump.

Over the past year, an unlikely public pairing has taken shape: rapper Nicki Minaj and US President Donald Trump. It’s not exactly the crossover most people expected.

Things escalated when the two appeared together at the Trump Accounts Summit, after which Minaj referred to herself as Trump’s “number one fan”.

She also posted online about being given a Trump Gold Card — though a White House official later suggested the gift may not have been quite what it initially sounded like.

Still, the presents didn’t stop there.

After Trump publicly complimented Minaj’s “beautiful” skin at the White House’s Black History Month reception, he’s now reportedly given her something else entirely.

This time, it isn’t a card, a photo op, or a headline-grabbing remark — it’s a religious book with a patriotic twist, and it’s signed.

On February 21, Minaj posted to X with a photo of the signed edition, described as a “Donald J. Trump with President of the United States of America Signature edition”.

The book originally launched in 2024 and is generally listed at $59.99.

It was edorsed by Trump in partnership with singer Lee Greenwood. In addition to Bible passages, it also includes the Pledge of Allegiance, the Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence.

Minaj’s caption reads: “One of the most meaningful gifts I’ve ever received in my entire life.”

Reaction online was swift, with commenters weighing in from multiple angles.

One user said: “Did the Barbz approve of this type of stuff? I’m genuinely confused. Someone bring me up to speed. This yall girl still?”

“Why is Trump making the Bible about himself? That signature doesn’t belong there,” another added.

A third commented: “Signed by the holiest man on earth!”

A fourth simply wrote: “Trump era bling. bold choice, queen.”

The post comes after Minaj shared an AI-generated image of herself with Trump for President’s Day on January 16.

The picture shows the two riding in a convertible, with Minaj holding and counting cash.

She drew criticism again, though Minaj has said negative responses don’t influence her — a point she made during Trump’s Accounts Summit in Washington, DC.

She said: “I am probably the president’s number one fan and that’s not going to change. What people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.”

At this point, if backlash only fuels her, the internet’s best strategy might be trying the opposite approach in reply to her Trump-related posts.
