Nicole Kidman Requests Major Terms in Divorce Filing from Keith Urban

Nicole Kidman has taken a significant step by filing for divorce from Keith Urban, accompanied by a major request.

Reports surfaced on Tuesday (September 30) indicating that the couple has been living apart ‘since the beginning of summer’. This news comes from sources cited by TMZ.

An anonymous source from the publication noted that Kidman is ‘maintaining the family’s unity during this challenging period while Keith has been absent,’ a sentiment confirmed by the BBC.

Additionally, it was reported that Urban has acquired his own place in Nashville and has moved out of their shared family home following the separation.

According to court documents reviewed by People, Kidman has requested to be the primary residential parent of their daughters, 17-year-old Sunday Rose and 14-year-old Faith Margaret.

The arrangement, which Urban reportedly agreed to, allocates Kidman 306 days with their daughters, while Urban will have them for 59 days annually.

The former couple is also reported to have a child support agreement, with Urban having ‘already prepaid all child support obligations’.

Furthermore, Kidman and Urban have consented to refrain from speaking negatively about each other or other family members to the media. They also plan to encourage their daughters to love both parents and feel comfortable in both households.

People indicates that both Kidman and Urban must attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of the divorce filing.

The documents show Kidman signed them on September 6, while Urban signed on August 29, a week earlier.

Representatives for Kidman and Urban have been contacted for comments.

The reasons for the couple’s split remain unclear, but back in July, while appearing on Mix 102.3, an Australian radio station, with hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford, the ‘You’ll Think of Me’ singer reportedly ended the call abruptly.

Burford asked during the segment: “What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV and radio?”

Following this question, Urban’s line went silent, abruptly ending the conversation.

A radio producer commented, “I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question.”

The reasons for Urban’s reaction are now perhaps clearer.
