Nikki Glaser reveals why she lets her long-term boyfriend have sex with other women

Nikki Glaser has claimed in a new interview that she doesn’t ‘really care’ if her long-term boyfriend were to sleep with other women, admitting she ‘kind of likes’ it.

Back in 2013, the Comedy Central regular, 41, started a relationship with TV producer Chris Convy. The couple have had an on-and-off dynamic, having separated and reunited multiple times over the years.

They first crossed paths while working on her MTV series Nikki & Sara Live in New York. Glaser has said her Emmy-winning partner told her she could bring up “anything” about their relationship in her stand-up — “as long as it’s funny”.

In 2023, Glaser spoke with Gwyneth Paltrow on The Goop Podcast about her feelings around non-monogamy.

“I guess I’m just confident in like, I’m a pretty good person to date. When it comes to my relationship, I just don’t have jealousy over him getting close to other women.”

She had previously touched on the subject in a 2022 conversation with Graham Bensinger, saying she enjoyed the thought of her boyfriend at least ‘entertaining the idea of being with other women’.

“I want things that other people want. I wouldn’t mind if [he] had a little fling with someone else… Everyone has their own kinky thing. My thing is, I don’t mind that,” she confessed.

Glaser has now revisited her stance again, this time in a new appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.

“In a relationship, I don’t really care if my boyfriend were to hook up,” the comedian explained.

“But that is not a two-way street. I’m not someone who likes to hook up when I’m in a relationship. I don’t really care about that. But I don’t care if someone else were to. In fact, I kind of like it.”

During the episode, she told Cooper, 31, that before Convy she hadn’t really had a boyfriend, and said she often pressed him for stories about ‘past hookups and girlfriends and how they got together’.

“It would make me horny to think about him doing that with other girls,” the Trainwreck star confessed.

“So, I’d ask about all of his girlfriends or anyone he had hooked up with, all the details about it and it would really be like a foreplay for me. I would get revved up talking about it.”

Glaser’s comments come as interest in non-traditional relationship structures appears to be growing: she pointed to data suggesting 61 percent of Americans are open to exploring non-monogamy.

In the same Hims survey, nearly a third (32 percent) reportedly said they prefer ‘a little mystery’ rather than full-on commitment.

The findings also indicated Gen Z is the least likely (68 percent) to say monogamy is their preferred approach, while Baby Boomers are the most likely (43 percent).

While she didn’t spell out exactly what Convy may or may not have done with other women during their time together, Glaser hinted on Call Her Daddy: “There have been some interesting things that were fun for me to hear about and experience and fun for him too.”

The Golden Globes host — who has said she’s attracted to men who ‘other girls want’ — added that boundaries matter, and that certain rules apply when it comes to Convy’s sexual experiences.

She said she prefers that he not tell potential partners he has a girlfriend in a way that could make them ‘feel bad about it’.

“I was very careful to always let the girl know you have a girlfriend and she’s choosing this. Let her know that I’m OK with it.”

Glaser is also due back on TV later this month with a new special, Nikki Glaser: Good Girl, which premieres on Hulu on April 24.
