Nikki Glaser suffers underwear wardrobe malfunction on live TV and has sassy response

Things got awkward for Nikki Glaser recently as she suffered an awkward underwear malfunction live on air.

The US comedian and actor is no stranger to making people laugh, but this moment wasn’t part of any routine.

The 41-year-old stopped by Live With Kelly and Mark for a chat with hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

But before the interview could properly get going, Ripa noticed something was off and brought it up immediately.

As Glaser sprang up onto the tall chair in a baby blue sleeveless mini dress, there was a quick slip that revealed more than intended.

“Oh wait, you can see your underpants!” Ripa exclaimed before starting the interview.

Glaser didn’t appear fazed, firing back with a joke: “Oh, it’s just for you!”

Consuelos looked momentarily unsure where to focus, raising his cue card to block his view. “I’m just gonna…” he said, before Glaser exclaimed: “Oh, right down the barrel here, sorry guys!

Ripa, meanwhile, brushed it off as no big deal — prompting Glaser to keep the bit going: “Oh good, I’ll send you a picture later!”

Viewers online applauded how quickly she turned the mishap into a punchline, with one social media user writing: “Nikki handled it like a pro! Love her quick wit!”

It’s been a busy and comedy-filled stretch for Glaser, who also shared a funny story involving Leonardo DiCaprio during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show.

DiCaprio became the target of one of her Golden Globes jokes, where she teased that the main thing people associate with the Titanic actor is his ‘string of girlfriends in their 20s’. She later added: “The most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was for Teen Beat magazine in 1991. Is your favorite food still ‘Pasta, pasta, and more pasta’?”

And there was apparently no lingering sting from the joke. Glaser has said she likes to send flowers to people she’s ribbed in her sets — and DiCaprio responded in his own way.

“He sent me three baskets of pasta as a ‘thank you,’” Glaser revealed on The Tonight Show, which she found ‘so funny and so good’.

Still, she couldn’t resist taking it one step further with another punchline: “And part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’”

Glaser has also been candid about her personal life, including her views on relationships and monogamy.

Speaking to Graham Bensinger in 2022, the star said: “I want things that other people want. I wouldn’t mind if [he] had a little fling with someone else… Everyone has their own kinky thing. My thing is, I don’t mind that.”
