Nude cruise passenger reveals the NSFW detail everyone is curious about

A nude cruise participant has provided insights into a question many are curious about.

There are numerous questions surrounding nude cruises: from the guidelines onboard to the overall experience during such a liberating trip.

Misunderstandings about nude cruises are common, particularly the idea that the purpose is solely sexual. Addressing this misconception, the organizer of one of the UK’s rare nude cruises clarified that being naked isn’t exclusively linked to sexual activities.

Rachel Wick revealed to The Sun: “It’s really sad that a large percentage of the population equate being naked only with sex — it’s not.”

Elaborating on why people choose to shed their clothes on these cruises, she said: “It is the sense of freedom and being relaxed in your own body that draws people in. It’s a very friendly environment. If we go to a hotel, people generally don’t go out, they stay all day.”

Backing this perspective, a Reddit user earlier this year shared their experience from a 2,000-person nude cruise.

“When the topic of nude cruise comes up, you often have comments from people who don’t understand who and what nude people are all about and do on these cruises,” they noted. “As IRL, you have a range of people, some who are not even comfortable seeing themselves naked in the mirror to those who are comfortable in their own skin.

“A nude cruise brings the skin-comfortable crowd together. So much so that NCL Pearl was sold out six months in advance.”

The Redditor invited questions from those intrigued, and one user inquired about the presence of “lots of upside down pineapples?”

The response was: “Only a few,” indicating a limited presence.

The upside down pineapple is a symbol associated with the swinging community.

Intimacy coach and swinger Kiley George explained to Cosmopolitan: “Often seen on clothing, accessories, and even as decorative home items, an upside-down pineapple typically indicates that the person is a part of the swinging community or practices ethical non-monogamy.

“Some lifestylers have suggested that back before the internet, swingers would use the symbol to let others know they were part of the community.”

Therefore, while some swingers may attend nude cruises, not all participants are there for explicit reasons.
