Anyone who raced through Off Campus may be feeling that post-binge void, but there’s another romantic drama ready to take its place very soon.
The eight-episode series pulled in an eye-watering 36,000,000 views in its first 12 days on Prime Video, proving just how quickly viewers latched onto it.
Adapted from Elle Kennedy’s best-selling novel, the show follows Hannah Wells and college hockey standout Garrett Graham.
Off Campus landed on Prime on May 13, and since then romance fans have been on the lookout for their next obsession — which brings us to Every Year After.
According to Teen Vogue, the upcoming series sets out its premise like this:
“Told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay—the quintessential lake town— Every Year After is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever.”
Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett star as Persephone Fraser (better known as Percy) and Sam Floreck.
Like Off Campus, Every Year After is set in Canada — and it’s also adapted from a novel written by a Canadian author.
Some viewers have already drawn comparisons to The Summer I Turned Pretty, partly because the story features two brothers, Sam and Charlie Floreck — but let’s not get into spoilers.
The series is based on Carley Fortune’s popular novel Every Summer After, a breakout hit among BookTok readers.

Unsurprisingly, readers who loved the book have been sharing their excitement about the adaptation online.
One fan posted:
“I’m just someone who is excited about #EveryYearAfter and wants it to do well.
“That way, it hopefully gets more seasons AND, ideally, we get more shows like it. Streaming numbers within that initial release window matter A LOT.”
Another wrote when the trailer arrived last month:
“FINALLY THE EVERY YEAR AFTER SERIES TRAILER, I CANT WAIT FOR June 10.”
There’s also promising news for anyone hoping the story won’t end after one installment, with the show’s creative team already looking far beyond a single season.

Showrunner Amy B. Harris told Entertainment Weekly:
“I see five seasons. Obviously, there’s another book that’s connected to Barry’s Bay that I think will be a very exciting blueprint for us for a potential season 2.”
She also added:
“We have these six main characters, and I think we’ll be adding characters as the seasons go on. I really see this as a series, and it’s why we built it the way we did so that we can come back and explore a lot more romance.
“We have lots more to say both about Percy and Sam’s love story, but also about these other characters who hopefully people will come to love as much as they do Percy and Sam.”
Every Year After will be available to stream on Prime Video from June 10.
