Offset’s rationale for requesting spousal support has been clarified following Cardi B’s surprising revelation about their children’s monthly expenses.
Cardi B and Offset, both renowned in the rap industry, were married from 2017 until their second divorce was finalized in 2024. Together, they have three children, with their youngest being born in September last year, shortly after the divorce proceedings were completed.
Initial reports from TMZ indicated that Offset sought spousal support, although no particular amount was specified.
A representative for Offset informed The Breakfast Club that the rapper does not require the financial assistance and claimed that his estranged wife was being unreasonable in her demands.
The filing for spousal support by Offset is reportedly linked to Cardi allegedly requesting ‘everything’, such as real estate and vehicles.
Additionally, Offset’s spokesperson mentioned that the request was made because Cardi B is allegedly rarely with their children.
Cardi swiftly responded to these allegations, recording a message on social media where she expressed her displeasure: “The fact that I’m waking up right now to see that this f*** n**** and his f*** ass team, I know it’s not his team, I know it’s his b**** a**, gonna tell The Breakfast Club the only reason why this motherf***er asking for spousal support [is] because I was asking for everything and because I don’t be with my kids…
“Yo, you such a f***ing p**** ass n****.”
Amidst the controversy, Cardi disclosed details about her spending on their children, catching many fans off guard.
She shared that her kids, Kulture, six, Wave, three, and Blossom, 8 months, have a dedicated driver who is paid a significant monthly salary.
“Y’all want to know what’s the kids’ bills? Start adding,” Cardi remarked. “My kids got their own driver. The kids’ driver is on a retainer for $10,000 a month.”
However, Cardi did not specify the total amount of her expenses.
Cardi further accused Offset of not contributing to Kulture’s private school fees, which she claimed were approximately $45,000.
In addition to this, she mentioned that both Kulture and Wave receive tutoring sessions four times a week.
Cardi also highlighted that her two eldest children are actively involved in various hobbies, including music and sports.
She stated: “Kulture’s piano class – that’s $300 an hour, and she gets piano classes three times a week. I’m not sure how much gymnastics and Wave’s boxing classes, but I pay for that, too.”
The rapper also noted that her cousin babysits for $3,000 a week, supplementing what she pays her nanny. The nanny reportedly earns $500 per shift as she only works during the day.
