World’s Oldest Cat Just Turned 31-Years-Old And Still Has Plenty Of Lives Left

This tabby just celebrated his 31st birthday and is a contender for the title of World’s Oldest Cat.

In human years, this guy’s about 141 years old!

Nutmeg chose his humans by showing up in their backyard some 20 years ago.

“He rules the house and he’s absolutely gorgeous,” they say.

In 1990, his loving owners, Liz and Ian Finlay, took Nutmeg in as their own. He was about 5 years old back then.

Nutmeg could very likely be considered the oldest cat in the world, but to qualify for a Guinness World Record his humans would have to show documents to prove his age.

Since Nutmeg was once a stray, proving his age is a bit tricky, but his owners are working on it.
