Oliver Tree Death Rumor Sparks Concern as Fans Seek Answers About Viral Girlfriend Statement

Fans have been reacting to reports that Oliver Tree died in a helicopter crash in Brazil, while his girlfriend Fiona Chernavskaya has since shared an emotional tribute and urged people to stop speculating about his private life.

The musician, best known for songs including ‘Life Goes On’ and ‘Miss You’, was reported to have been among six people killed on Sunday, June 14, after two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro.

Brazilian officials said one of the aircraft crashed into the parking area of a car dealership, where several vehicles were parked, triggering a fire that was later brought under control. Authorities initially said Tree was listed as a passenger, and later reports confirmed that he died in the collision at the age of 32.

The other victims were identified in reports as Gaspar Díaz, Lucas Vignale, Lucas Brito Chaves, Alexandre Souza, and Charles Marsillac.

Tributes quickly began appearing online from fellow entertainers and fans alike. Logan Paul was among those to post a message after news of Tree’s death broke.

“I’m still in denial that one of my favorite people is no longer with us. I’m absolutely gutted, words can’t describe how special Oliver was to so many people.

“Tragedy has taken life way too soon, with so much creativity and vibrance and talent. I’d like to think he’s on his next adventure somewhere in the universe. Horrible horrible horrible, I don’t even know how to process this.”

Chernavskaya, who had been linked to Tree since 2023, also paid tribute to the singer on Instagram.

“To my best friend,” her moving Instagram post began. “We traveled to 43 countries, and all 7 continents together. The magic, inspiration and joy you brought to my life and others, will never be forgotten or replaced.”

She continued to write: “You’d always tell me when we argued, if things don’t work out in this lifetime, you will find me in the next. I love you buggy.”

In a separate message, Chernavskaya asked fans to stop circulating gossip about Tree’s relationships and private life.

“Right now I’m mourning my partner and best friend, anything else is unimportant. Please have some respect,” she wrote, per New York Post, adding that she didn’t care for ‘gossip’.

“We were monogamous,” Chernavskaya further insisted.

Tree had remained active online in the days before the crash, posting to social media from South America as he continued his world tour. His death has left fans revisiting his breakout tracks, viral moments and his influence on pop and alternative music.
