As part of their tour of India this week, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William have been busy meeting people and attending events.
And while Kate looked every inch the sophisticated princess in the Mumbai heat…
…she didn’t let her towering wedges stop her giving her best shot at a game of cricket.
Joining children from one of Mumbai’s largest slums and charities Magic Bus, Childline, and Doorstep, Kate showed off her sporty skills in the cricket game.
And even jogged and hopped around sports drills — still in those heels!
We can barely walk in heels, let alone hopscotch on grass.
Kate batted several innings until she was caught out by former Indian cricket captain Sachin Tendulkar.
Sachin described Kate as “very, very sporty” and said the royal couple “made us feel so comfortable… [they’re] really humble, very very simple.”
“The noble causes they are sporting all over the world I think shows what kind of heart they have and they feel for less fortunate ones,” he said of Kate and Will’s humanitarian work.
Playing cricket whilst looking uber-sophisticated and helping improve the lives of children from slums — Kate, you totally rock.
