Pamela Anderson addresses allegations of Meghan Markle imitation with candid reply

Pamela Anderson has commented on the noticeable similarities between her TV show and Meghan Markle’s series.

Earlier this year, Anderson released her series Pamela’s Cooking with Love on Prime Video. The show premiered in late February and received positive feedback from viewers.

The first season, consisting of eight episodes, has an impressive rating of 8.6/10 on IMDb.

One reviewer praised the show, stating, “Pamela comes across as a sweet, gentle, authentic and down to earth lady. She’s funny, natural and kind. I love that her sons, parents and friends are in the show.”

Many others have expressed similar views. Despite the positive reception, it remains uncertain whether Anderson will return for a second season.

Following the launch of Pamela’s Cooking With Love, Meghan Markle’s series, With Love, Meghan, debuted on Netflix. It premiered on March 4.

The description on Tudum highlights: “Meghan shares personal tips and tricks, embracing playfulness over perfection, and highlights how easy it can be to create beauty, even in the unexpected. She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same.”

However, unlike Anderson’s series, With Love, Meghan did not achieve the same level of acclaim, scoring just 3.1/10 on IMDb.

Additionally, the viewership numbers were not promising, and the show did not make it into Netflix’s top 300 shows for the first half of the year, as reported by The Telegraph.

Months after both shows were released, Anderson was questioned by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live.

Cohen inquired, “On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela’s Cooking with Love? There were articles saying these two shows were very similar.”

Anderson rated it a ‘one’, indicating she didn’t see many similarities.

Cohen probed further, asking, “One? On a scale from one to 10, you did not see any similarities?”

Anderson elaborated, “No, I didn’t really look, but I didn’t invent cooking shows. She’s just doing her thing.”

Despite Anderson’s perspective, some TV fans believed the shows were alike.

A tweet at the time of their release stated, “If you watch the trailer for Pamela’s new show, it’s a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve & it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it’s freaky.”

Another remarked, “Meghan Markle also plagiarized Pamela Anderson’s show? The entire concept is strikingly similar.”

A third person added, “Meghan totally ripped off Pamela’s show, as well as every other successful cooking/lifestyle show she had ever seen. She did it poorly, too.”
