His 17-year-old son, also named Brad, had been irking teachers for talking too much in class.
Exasperated, Older Brad came up with a novel idea to stop his son from getting into more trouble. “Hey, if we get another call, I’m going to show up in school and sit beside you in class,” he said to his son.
But when the messages from teachers continued, dad knew exactly what to do…
And the moment his son sat in class, Dad came in and joined him, too. Just like he said he would.
Younger Brad was stuck in the most awkward situation, to the amusement of his friends. And everyone else in school!
When asked why he did it, Older Brad responded on Twitter, “Just making good on a promise.”
This dad taught us one important lesson: punishment can only go so far when disciplining children. Sometimes, you have to get creative.
