Rosanna Arquette and Patricia Arquette, sisters in Hollywood, are the latest left-wing celebrities to depart Twitter following Elon Musk’s purchase of the firm. Both accounts, @RoArquette and @PattyArquette, were inaccessible as of Wednesday morning.
It’s unclear if they left Twitter voluntarily or were thrown off. On both accounts, an error notice indicates, “This account does not exist.”
In recent years, the Arquette sisters used their Twitter accounts with hundreds of thousands of followers to promote radical left-wing ideology, such as comparing Republicans to Nazis and the Taliban, referring to police officers as the “Gestapo,” and engaging in election denial by saying Donald Trump was not the legitimate president of the United States.
Last year, Rosanna Arquette stated that she will take a knee to protest the national anthem and the American flag “for the rest of my life.” Last week, the Pulp Fiction and The Big Blue actress stated that the United States would be a better place today if everyone followed football player Colin Kaparenick’s choice to kneel during the national anthem.
Since Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, many left-wing Hollywood celebrities, including Debra Messing, Whoopi Goldberg, model Gigi Hadid, and mega-TV producer Shonda Rhimes, have abandoned the platform.
Others, including author Stephen King, have criticized Musk’s intention to charge a monthly fee for blue-check authentication.
