People left seriously ‘creeped’ out as White House unveils holiday greeting message referring to Trump as ‘daddy’

The White House’s holiday memo has caused a stir by referring to the president as ‘daddy’.

Of all the different names that might be linked with Donald Trump, ‘daddy’ is likely not one that comes to mind.

Nonetheless, in a recent holiday announcement released on Wednesday (December 3), this is exactly how the government has peculiarly chosen to describe him.

The cartoon shows Trump in a red Santa hat, his trademark Republican red tie, and giving a thumbs up, set against a snowy backdrop of the White House.

Overlaying what might have been a typical presidential Christmas message are the bold red words: “Daddy’s home,” in the uppercase style Trump prefers.

The official White House Instagram account accompanied the image with the caption: “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!”

For those unaware, the term ‘daddy’ can sometimes be used in sexual contexts or BDSM scenarios, where one partner takes on a paternal role.

According to a Real Life Topics Revealed article on Medium, some research indicates that men might enjoy being called ‘daddy’ because it conveys power and control, qualities Trump seems to embrace.

It’s no shock that this particular White House post has resonated with many, with one person describing it as the ‘creepiest message ever’.

While the comments were filled with emojis expressing disgust, others labeled it as ‘so cringe’, and many were astonished that such a post appeared on an official government account.

“This is hysterical and stupid,” remarked one individual.

“They actually posted this lmfao,” another comment noted.

This controversial release follows criticism of Trump’s close associate, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of War, by a children’s publisher for sharing another questionable holiday message.

Hegseth shared on X, formerly Twitter, an AI-created image featuring Franklin the turtle, a character from Canadian TV series Franklin, armed and targeting ‘narco terrorists’.

He captioned the book cover image with ‘For your Christmas wish list…’

“We’re not a serious country anymore,” one person commented, with others creating similar parodies of famous children’s books, like ‘Franklin Goes to Jail’ and ‘Frog and Toad Arrest Pete Hegseth for War Crimes’.

Kids Can Press, the publisher, criticized Hegseth, disapproving of using Franklin’s image in a ‘violent’ context.

In an Instagram statement, they remarked: “Franklin the Turtle is a beloved Canadian icon who has inspired generations of children and stands for kindness, empathy, and inclusivity.

“We strongly condemn any denigrating, violent, or unauthorized use of Franklin’s name or image, which directly contradicts these values.”

Meanwhile, First Lady Melania Trump has unveiled her holiday decor for the president’s residence, with the theme ‘home is where the heart is’, featuring over 50 Christmas trees, designer decorations, and a Lego portrait of Trump and other presidents.
