PETA Outraged After Floyd Mayweather Spends $18,000 on Mink Car Seat

Floyd Mayweather has a reputation for spending large amounts of money on luxury goods items – his watch and bag collection alone are worth millions.

But his most recent purchase has raised brows, and angered animal rights organization PETA.

The boxing champion recently spent more than $345,000 on a 2022 Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which includes mink fur on the seats and flooring. However, he didn’t stop there.

Floyd “Money” Mayweather also reportedly ordered a similar mink car seat worth a cool $18,000 so that his 1-year-old grandson could travel in luxury.

After hearing about the news, PETA made the following statement:

“Did Floyd Mayweather, who has a history of assault and battery of defenseless victims, really seek to update it by supporting an industry that throttles animals to death in addition to poisoning and electrocuting them?”

“This man is hardly a role model for compassion and understanding, but to try to make cruelty look attractive to a child could earn him a medal for corrupting the natural kindness of a minor.”

“PETA is calling on Mayweather to take a jab at teaching kindness, not cruelty, by replacing this monstrosity with faux fur, as most designers, department stores, and consumers have — and PETA would be happy to provide it.”

The controversial athlete went to Obi Okeke, also known as Doctor Bugatti, for the car seat as well as the other fur accents in his pricey vehicle.

The headrest of the seat has the name Kentrell Jr., Mayweather’s godson, embroidered on it in neon script that perfectly complements the lime-colored inside of the vehicle. Additionally, there are two cupholders, allowing the child to simultaneously enjoy two drinks.

Last week, Mayweather offered supporters a first look at the star-lined roof and neon leather of his new whip, but the additional mink embellishments weren’t shown in the video.

Mayweather owns a number of Rolls-Royces in addition to numerous Bugattis, Lamborghinis, and Mercedes in his multimillion dollar auto collection.
